Dr. Carl N. Williams Jr. earned his medical doctorate degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in general surgery and otolaryngology, or surgery of the head and neck, at Wayne State University affiliated hospital in Detroit, as well as in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago He also completed a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular surgery at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center.
Dr. Williams holds three board certifications; one with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, another by the American Board of Plastic Surgery with the added qualification in surgery of the hand, and American Board of Otolaryngology.
Currently he has membership with the National Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Surgery, American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, Warren Cole Society, American society for the Surgery of the Hand, and the American Association for Hand Surgery.
With over 25 years of surgical and laser procedure experience, Dr. Williams is recognized among the medical community as an authority in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. A winner of the Joseph R. Dyer, MD Memorial Award for his presentation on "Repair of Large Maxillary Clefts with Free Persoteal Grafts&qupt; to National Medical Reviews, he has lectured at the annual convention of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and lectures fellow professionals on "New Laser Techniques". He serves as adjunctive faculty for University of Nevada School of Medicine and Touro University, where he lectures and teaches medical students and residents.
In addition Dr. Williams has been actively involved with numerous charities such as the UMC Foundation, a charitable group that raises money for the Children's Miracle Network. He has also participated as an active member of a non profit surgical team, traveling to American Samoa, South America, China, and Tibet devoting time in diagnosing and surgically treating the less fortunate citizens of the world.
Dr. Williams has previously served as Chief of Staff for Lake Meade Hospital, Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mt.View Hospital and the University Medical Center in Las Vegas Nevada. He is licensed in Nevada and in Arizona where he offers services specializing in surgical and non surgical cosmetic procedures, as well as surgical interventions for the hand.
